At $64.30 million, May manufacturing technology orders in the Northeast Region were up 8.4% when compared with the $59.33 million total for April and up 88.4% when compared with May a year ago. The year-to-date total of $305.87 million is 92.4% more than the comparable figure for 2010.

The microwaterjet® Machining Center was specifically designed to machine two-dimensional, high precision and micro parts with a substantially smaller kerf width (0.08 mm for pure water cutting; 0.3 mm for abrasive waterjet cutting) compared to traditional abrasive waterjet machines (0.8 mm). As compared to EDM and Laser Cutting, microwaterjet® can cut without Heat Affected Zones (HAZ).
